RICHARD Y. W. YEOH - Executive Director of Transparency International – Malaysia
Graduated in Economics from the University of Malaya in Kuala Lumpur and attended the Banking & Finance Management Program of the Asian Institute of Management in Manila. Career includes 26 years' international corporate and banking experience in Malaysia, Philippines, South Africa and the U.S.
Active since 2003 in initiatives and advocacy work pertaining to democratic reform, corporate governance and transparency in Malaysia and the ASEAN region. Recent involvements include the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Myanmar Caucus (AIPMC), the Steering Committee of the Initiative toward the formation of the Inter-faith Commission of Malaysia (IFC) and the ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Caucus on Good Governance.
Previous appointments includes with TA Enterprise Berhad as Group CEO and Managing Director of TA Investment Holdings South Africa Limited and TA Bank of South Africa Limited (2000 – 2002), Johannesburg, Executive Director of TA Bank of the Philippines (1998 – 1999).
Earlier work experience acquired with United Overseas Bank (UOB) Group in Malaysia, First Pennsylvania Bank, Philadelphia and the Malaysian Institute of Bankers.
