Michael J. Gilligan is associate professor of Poltics and the Director of the International Relations Major at New York University. He recieved a Masters in Public Affairs from the Woodrow Wilson School at Princeton University in 1989 and his Ph.D. in Political Science from Harvard University in 1993. His recent research on international cooperation, human rights and peacekeeping and has been published in International Organization, and International Studies Review.
